I wouldn’t normally post about something like this, but it’s so odd, and this blog is ostensibly about what’s going on in the world of Snack, that I’m going to give it at least a quick mention.

There is a line of guys camped out across the street from our house. We live next to the Valley Fair mall here in San Jose, and are within a few hundred yards of both the Apple Store and the Sony Style Store.

Last night I noticed four or five people milling about across the street. I figured it was a news crew (black friday is next week, probably advance b-roll or something). Then this morning on our way to school, there was what you see above.

“Oh, right, the PS3 must be launching today. But why is Sony making people wait out on the street?” Well, the PS3 is NOT launching today, it’s launching TOMORROW. Those people will be hanging out for the next 24 hours. It reminds me a lot of an old episode of Star Trek, and it’s starting to creep me out.
