Well, not the shop, but a slightly improved website. We are obviously having some trouble keeping up with posting, but that’s actually good news, because it means we’re busy making cupcakes for everyone.

Look for a newish website in the next few weeks.

Well, interspersed with my budgeting duties, I’ve been methodically reviewing comic books. All in an effort to try to find the perfect mix for our shop. “Comic books?” you say, “Isn’t Snack going to be a cupcake shop?” Well, yes and no. We are trying something a little different. We are shooting for a snack shop with cupcakes at its heart, but that’s only the beginning.

The holidays, weren’t they more like a rehearsal for next year, or is it just me? It was sure a weird time around here, and 2008 looks like it will be more of the same, but in a good way.

We’re still buried in budgeting for the shop, so looking for a physical space is on hold right now. But we should be able to wrap-up the serious business-type planning this month, and start looking for space soon after.

We’ve been polishing our recipe for seven layer bars, constantly tweaking the flavor and texture. If you’d like to get in on the action (the recipe is a moving target), we are now offering them for sale along with our cupcakes.

We’ve currently got chocolate and butterscotch morsels in there, along with coconut flakes and chopped walnuts. Yum.
